I’ve always been a big fan of Max Markson, one of Australia’s leading agents of all things celebrity.
Max never takes anything too seriously (except his 20%!) and finds an angle in everything for his clients.
Tania Zaetta is a
C A (sorry Max) grade celebrity here in Australia. She was accused last year of having had sex with troops in Afghanistan during a concert tour.
She was there to entertain them.
Max Worked His Magic
Tania denied the allegations vigorously and Max worked beautifully to keep her in the media spotlight and sell her story of heartache at this so-called outrage.
Tania was reportedly paid $70,000 for a TV interview.
Of course, the allegations made Tania sick to her stomach.
Mmmmm, what could she take for that????
“The Lemon Detox drink has become a natural part of my life … I have relied heavily on the program in the past few months during the stress brought on by the unsubstantiated claims surrounding my trip to Afghanistan and Iraq,” said Tania.
Nice one Max! Signing her up to promote a tea!
Defence Chief Apologies
The latest installment is that the Defence Chief has apologised for the allegations.
So Max sends out a statement in reply (and this is where you see a true master at work) that reads (in part):
“I would like to personally thank and express my deepest gratitude towards my incredible family, friends and the thousands of beautiful people from all over the world who emailed my web site…….I read every single email, many of them with tears in my eyes……..
I am looking forward to all my new up-coming projects, including a new Australian feature film, and am in the process of founding my own charity to help the innocent children affected in conflict zones.”
Beautiful, beautiful work Max.
It brings tears of joy to my eyes……that I’ll wipe away with a top quality Kleenex tissue (because nothing’s as soft as a Kleenex tissue!).
Did you see what Max got in there? Let’s take a closer look:
- Thousands of people emailed – that’s social proof. Implies that she has thousands and thousands of fans, so you should be one too.
- They emailed her web site – now we know Tania has a web site.
- Doing a film – let’s us know she has work and is in demand.
- Founding her own charity for kids affected in conflict zones – that’s celebrity management 101.Doing charity work like that so we all thinks she’s a lovely person and that raises her brand awareness and brand value. Now Max can charge more for her endorsements.
The media release also contained 2 photos of Tania for use.
Brilliant work by Max. A quality lesson in PR.
