As I sit down to write these messages, I tend to focus on what has happened during my day. And that’s fair enough.
Whatever is top of mind is what I’m thinking of and what usually gets written about.
Today we were trying to develop some marketing strategies for a client with a very limited budget. But having a small budget doesn’t matter too much – because I’m a great believer in the incredible power of free publicity.
With some simple PR I’m confident of generating some good quality local media coverage for his business. And you should be able to get some too.
Local media outlets are actively searching for stories to fill their pages, their tape or their radio waves. They are just waiting for you to ring with a story idea! Don’t let them down.
So don’t be shy. Come up with a good newsworthy story (an interesting angle might be all that you need) and your business could reap the rewards.
