Years ago I dealt with a woman who was, when compared to all of her colleagues in the same real estate office and industry, amazingly successful.
In my dealings with her I didn’t see anything special though – no better or worse than anyone else. I couldn’t figure out why she made so many sales.
You see, whilst everyone else was out there madly trying to list and sell properties, she would do her thing.
She Would Prequalify The Seller
What she would do was prequalify the buyer, not the seller. No one else did that.
If the seller was motivated to sell (and realistic about the price), then she’d list the property and she’d have a great chance of a sale.
If the seler wasn’t motivated to sell, or had an unrealistic expectation of the price, she didn’t list the house for sale.
What a brilliant and simple way to boost your sales. Don’t waste time on strategies that don’t work. Look for ways to make your offer better than everyone else.
