How one PR article can explode your business

August 5, 2016 by Chloe

Your business needs PR and we’re the ones to do it. Here’s why:

The power of the media is plain to everyone with eyes, ears and an iPhone. It’s everywhere and at some point, we’re all forced to pay attention. PR is the process of getting the story of your business into the press and if you don’t and your competitor does, you’ll be losing out. Put plainly, it sorts the men from the boys.

elsewhere

The brand awareness that comes from media coverage is priceless. Why? Because rather than you telling everyone how interesting/exciting/necessary your product or service is, the media will do it for you and they are established, highly trusted and like I said before, EVERYWHERE.

Advertising can cost a pretty penny and, while it is a useful tool for many businesses, PR can give you the equivalent (or higher) return but for far less financial output. As I mentioned before, the media is a trusted outlet because it has been around for longer than all of us and is the one thing that connects us to the rest of the worlds’ news.

Obviously you know your business better than anyone but we know the media. It may seem simple enough to just email someone and tell them how great your brand is however, journalists are the busiest people in the world (there’s A LOT of news/Kardashian drama to report you know) and they aren’t going to pay attention to you just because you think your business is interesting.

The Cove_EscapeThat’s where agencies come in. It takes a LONG time, hundreds of cupcakes and extensive back and forth banter to develop a relationship with a journalist. They need to know they can trust you to deliver interesting and RELEVANT stories and you need to respect their time and the type of publication they work for.

Another thing, lucky last I promise, that headline you clicked on up there – you did that because it was interesting and you wanted to know more and therein lies the beauty of PR. If you can get people’s attention with an interesting story, you’re more than halfway there. Because it’s all about being interesting and that’s where we come in. We can make you more interesting than you ever thought possible.
